snowberry creek mayor's office

December 2013 Mayor's letter

Since December is such a busy time for all of us, I thought I'd focus the spotlight this month on everything going on here in Snowberry Creek over the next few weeks. I can promise you, though, that I have someone extra special lined up for the interview in January!

By now, you've probably noticed all the hubbub out on Main Street as a group of volunteers transform Snowberry Creek into a winter wonderland. (And even if we twisted a few arms along the way, I still contend they are all willing volunteers!) A special thanks to everyone at the Community Church who pitched in to provide breakfast and lunch for everyone!

The official lighting ceremony will be held at 6:00 p.m. on December 2 at the bandstand in the park. The weatherman is predicting snow flurries, which would really make the evening extra special. I wish I could take credit for arranging it, but there are some things beyond the power of the mayor's office.

Please circle December 23 on your calendars. That's the evening we'll be hosting a charity auction at the high school to raise money to revamp the playground equipment at the grade school. People have been most generous with their donations, and you'll be able to pick up some great last minute gifts for friends and family.

Have a safe and happy holiday season!
